Welcome in the southern Alps
A cosy hotel in a kind atmosphere
Ten years ago we were travelling through the beautiful France, and after having seen many overwhelming landscapes, we still got a huge wow-feeling when we saw the Lake Serre-Ponçon, in the beautiful Durance valley. Immediately we fell for this magnificent view of the glistering sun upon the clear melt water of the Hautes-Alpes. On that very moment we were certain that one day we would move up here to enjoy these beautiful surroundings, and each other.
As with all fairytales is reality often not that easy. After trying to settle us in Embrun for two years, we returned to our birth-place. That was not such a smart move because the Hautes-Alpes remained constantly on our minds, and now, after five years of searching, we finally found our dream, our own hotel in the south of France, in Savines-le-Lac.
We would love to share our feelings with all of you, and therefore you are most welcome, and we will receive you with open arms in Hôtel Les Chaumettes.
